Learn to play from tragedy. While working from a place of being (and not doing) you will search for the games within the clown's crisis. You will look for the joy in the sorrow.
Clowns often evoke fun, silliness & light heartedness. The clown also exists in a full range of emotions. You will go searching for this breadth within your clown and create unwittingly hilarious and often tragic clown scenarios.
In this workshop you will:
-
Play a lot of games
-
Explore 'being' not 'doing'
-
Explore your clown's emotional range
-
Create scenarios that find the play in the tragic
This workshop is best suited to clowns, directors, writers, actors, teachers, dancers, theatre makers, filmmakers & trouble makers. This is not a workshop for absolute beginners. Some performance experience is required.
If you are an absolute beginner, or unsure if this is for you, please shoot us an email. We don't want to scare anyone off, we just want to make sure everyone gets the most out of their workshop.

One of the best workshops I've ever done. Just phenomenal.
