Clowning

Clowning is a vital part of Hurrah Hurrah's work. From the search for joy, to honesty and vulnerability and just enjoying being ridiculous with each other, clowning infuses our work no matter how serious or silly.

2. Seriously Funny

Finding joy playing tragedy

2 Day Workshop

$380/$350

This workshop is best suited to clowns or those with some pre-existing clowning experience

Learn to play from tragedy. While working from a place of being (and not doing) you will search for the games within the clown's crisis. You will look for the joy in the sorrow.

Clowns often evoke fun, silliness & light heartedness. The clown  also exists in a full range of emotions.  You will go searching for this breadth within your clown and create unwittingly hilarious and often tragic clown scenarios.

In this workshop you will:

  • Play a lot of games

  • Explore 'being' not 'doing'

  • Explore your clown's emotional range

  • Create scenarios that find the play in the tragic

Everyone raved about this workshop for weeks!! It was such a bespoke approach to clown that maximised fun and really pushed me in the best way. I can’t recommend it enough.

You're just in really safe hands. Everything we did I can just go away and use and it was so damn fun.
